Being a new BMW owner and not realising the difference between good and bad parts a few months back I bought some brake control bushes (also known as Rear Control Arm Bush and wishbone bush) from ebay for £30. Fitted them and 2000 - 3000 miles later the right side has failed dramatically!

Although I gutted to have to shell out again I do not feel too hard done by as if I'd bought good parts in the first place I wouldn't have to replace them so soon. So I thought I'd post it here and hope that it stops other newbies from making this mistake. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Second that, I did exactly the same thing, the cheap eBay bushes lasted 3 months, then wised up and put Meyle HD bushes on

You can get them at a fairly good price from the dealers. If I were you I would ask our forum vendors Hereford BMW for a quote-You can find them in our vendor section and they supply genuine OEM parts
