Hi all, just joined the forum after purchasing my first beemer - a 2001 330ci convertible. The MOT had a note stating that brake pads would require replacing within 2 to 3 K miles. I have checked the front and they seem to have approx 6 mm left, however the rears are lower and I will be replacing them soon.
I have been reading various threads and I am unsure which make to go for - either EBC Green, Mintex or OEM (Jurid)

I would appreciate your thoughts based on experiences

    Cheers

OEM Textar are your best bet - should your usage be standard on-road application. If you're looking to do any trackday driving, we should be able to offer you a PAGID RS sport brake pad that is suitable for road and track driving.

John Freeth at Performance Braking will certainly be able to help you out with both of these: Tel 01600 713117.

If you need any further advice, don't hesitate to drop me an email, or give me a call.

Do you need any special tools to change the brake pads? I have encountered some german cars where you need a special tool to wind the pistons back in. Cheers

No special tools...you can use a G-clamp to push the piston back. The only tool that you may need to buy is the 7mm allen/hex to remove the caliper bolts.
