hi guys today i noticed that the front passenger suspension leg is too close to the wheel and when i looked at the other side i can freely put my fingers between the leg and wheel but on the other side i cant, so i brought a second hand leg and put them on and still no difference then i swaped the rear tyre to the front and still no differece? should a put a new suspension leg?

Maybe the other side with the bigger gap is the one that's wrong!

hi mate i have a E46 318i se with 235/45/17 and there is a good 4cm gap between the tyre and shock leg on both sides, sounds like something is not right have you had a look at the bolts on the strut top as when i did a front spring last week i noticed that there is a locating pin that come through the top of the inner wing and the 3 bolts that come through have about 2cm of an adjustment.

perhaps they have moved you should be able to tell by the paint around the top of the nuts.
