    Hi.

I'm new to the forums so hello to everyone and apologies for a lame post in advance...but this is my first BMW and despite being told they're built well which is obvious, having driven over a rather large speed bump today which wasn't quite slim enough to fit between the wheels, I felt a very rough jolt as I went over and quite a loud noise....didn't notice much after so just kept driving but do you think these occurences are enough to damage the shocks?

Thanks for any replies in advance.

Yes I blew my shock out by driving over a pothole-but the shocks were fairly old to begin with and rather that than cracking my M-contours

OP, get your dealership to inspect them...inspection won't cost anything as you are still under warranty.
