Bought my E46 330d sport a couple of weeks ago. I'm getting new tyres this week (if I can get the car through the snow to the garage!). No doubt they will ask if I want the tracking done. Before I agree to that I wanted to find out if there's a more 'in depth' setup possible on this car? On my Evo the 4 wheel alignment/geo setup is pretty comprehensive. So, what's available on the E46 330d sport?

    Cheers.

Really the only options are to go to BMW and get the car set up on their KDS machine but that'll cost ya. Better option is to find some one with a Hunter machine (basically same as BMW), either way a proper set up is essential. DO NOT LET ANY ONE ADJUST THE CAR BY ANY OTHER METHOD, that'll just throw the cars settings a mile out.
Do a search on this forum for the Hunter machine, grab yourself a beer/coffee as you will be a while

Cool. Thanks for the info, that's just what I needed to know. I'll tell the tyre garage not to adjust anything, and I'll have a proper 'hunter' setup done when I can find a nearby supplier. (BMW or Independant)

Place that did mine is in East Grinstead - but there's bound to be a place closer than that to you. Like they said above, do not let any tyre fitters adjust the tracking.
