I am new to the forum and have a 320td compact on standard suspension. The car has done 50K and general drives well. However at times I find the suspension a touch too soft, it can feel a little bouncy when pushed. So I am thinking about some options for upgrading the suspension slightly. I don't want to make the suspension too hard as I use the car everyday and have a lot of town driving to do.
My current thoughts are,
- replace the standard springs with Eibach's and leave the standard dampers.
- replace the standard springs with Eibachs and fit new standard dampers.
- replace the standard springs with Eibachs and fit up rated dampers (not sure which type?).
I have also thought about strut braces as I fitted one to my previous car a Toyota Celica and it made a difference.
As far as a budget is concerned I would like to keep the cost as low as possible but at the same time I don’t want to pick the cheap option if it doesn't actually improve the suspension.
So which of the options would be best or should I try something else?
