Hey guys.. spent 4 hours tackling the task and well its all good!!!

Dont have any pics yet but its about 7 mm lower on one side?

Also how do you tighten the piston nut up.. it says 50nM and you got to get an allan key into it at the same time... is there a nack to this??

Also ive got litterally 2mm to spare between the wheel and the spring adjuster.. should i get spacers or am i sound??

Looks pretty good so far... the coillies lower it by 20 mm anyway and we lowered it 20 mm down on the thread so then once it settle it should go another 10mm(ish) so thats a 50mm drop..

Going to go lower but got a big journey soon and its going to be bumpy!

Car feels so much tighter round corners and doesnt nose dive under braking or changing gear.. feels FANTASTIC!

Edit: heres 2 photos from the mayhem!

This is a mod I dream of doing day and night! It would transform any compact. After you lower it properly you'll probably be on par with lilo and nick 316ti for the trophy of the best looking compact on here! What's the ride quality like? I mean like dampening etc, is the suspension loud around corners?
I can only imagine what It would handle like now! You've just made the ultimate driving machine more 'ultimate'

That's excellent considering your rollin' on 19s aren't you? My suspension is extremely loud, but I always put it down to my 18'' wheels and low profile tyres but I'm pretty sure it's not. I went in a mates 2003 e46 318i saloon and I couldn't believe how quiet his suspension was!
My cars done 105,000 miles I think I should treat the old girl to a new suspension.. and brakes.. and a full valet in the interior.. and some transmission fluid!
BMW's are too hard to maintain!

It's extremely loud when going over bumps and it makes a lot of road noise. It could be the suspension but it could also be the cheap rear tyres I had to buy in desperation. I would've got some good tyres but unfortunately 255/35/18 tyres don't exactly come cheap if you wan't something good

Yeah I think I should actually, but as we all know money is tight in this current climate, my car is a main priority but I have other priorities that need to be sorted first, I can't wait to get my car sorted again! The engines killing me though, it drives me up the wall
