    Morning

On the drive to work I pulled over and turned the car off. When I re-started the car, I was greeted by a beep along with both traction control lights on (yellow).

The rear discs and pads are pretty shot and I have had to wait for the parts to come in to replace them.

No matter what I do (.i.e. turn the car off, hold traction control button down) the lights are still on and the traction control is off.

I know there are sensors on the pads, is this how the car tells you that they are dead or are the lights signifying a different ABS/Traction Control related problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Hey lilo,
the beep was prob just because the temp was 3 or below, don't think it was connected with the lights. The most likely cause of them is a faulty wheel speed sensor or steering angle sensor, only real way to find out is a code read. Take it easy as the traction control is off and you won't get it back on until the fault is sorted

Just got back from work and on the way back the lights both went out

I turned the TC off manually and then back on a few times and all was fine...

Do the systems sometimes just have little glitches and then remedy themselves?

hello, usually yellow light means a problem with one of ABS sensors or steering angle sensor,in your case perhaps some water/moisture got into ABS sensor .Try to put it on a tester and see what fault code you get
