The only real way to get a noticeable difference is to fit coilovers, lowering springs will get you a small drop, the actual amount you drop is dependant on a few things, the main one being speedbumps, with an ET of 45 on the rears you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing on the arches.

i did consider coilovers, but i am only after a small drop! think that coilovers would be too harsh on the roads that i drive on.
preferably after a kit that will make the 19's sit a bit better under the arches, and keep a standard sort of ride quality.

picture of my Clubsport next to a friends 320Cd, height difference is quite noticeable.

Have you had a look at H&R springs...i'm pretty sure they are the only springs that will give you a decent drop...Eibach's will give you very little.
Whats on the 320?...it looks pretty low!

apparently it's standard! not sure i believe that though because as you say, it looks pretty low! My mate is adamant that it is. maybe it's the heavy diesel engine on wrong springs???

If it's standard his springs must be in about 3 peices
