    Hi,

I've got a 2001 330ci cab and the back left wheel is sqeeking cyclicly when I go around left corners. I think the shock is the problem but possibly the spring as well, I haven't investigated fully.

If they need replaced I would like to upgrade the setup. I don't really want to lower it, just improve the handling with better shocks and springs. I used to have a E36 328i m-sport cab and I've found the difference in handling of the standard 330ci cab substantial. The 328i m-sport was hugely better in feel and responsiveness. If anybody knows a cost effective way of getting close to that performance I'd be really thankful. If that's too optimistic on a small budget then so be it.

Are there any recommendations for a sensibly priced new shock and spring arrangement to improve the handling? is it essential to change the fronts as well to get a significant improvement?

Finally, I don't trust myself to do this properly. Does anybody know a good BMW specialist near Wallingford in Oxfordshire that could do this and servicing too?

Thanks in advance for any help!

the E36 was much more nimble in the handling dept.
suppose the stock answer is eibach pro springs with a decent oem shock...you will get a lowering effect doing that though.
and if you are uprating the suspension for better handling then both ends need doing followed by a 4 wheel alignment
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

eibach pro's, then m sport shocks, stiffer than standard sport shocks, power flex bushes, and power flex arb bushes, then go for a front strut brase! that will be the cheapest option for you, and about the best you will get on a budget with out spending £1000's, there is also a rack replacment but the info is sparce to say the least!
