    Hello
I have a 2001 facelift 325i sport, i want to lower it slightly for a better look and for better ride.
I don't know if i should just buy springs or the whole suspension kit? what is best and what should i be buying and where is the best place to buy?
    Thank you.

You've missed off the year & what your thread is about

Btw you say 'better ride', stiffer suspension will make your ride worse but will improve your handling.
    Did you mean handling?

    Moved to the chassis section

Koni FSR shocks & Eibach springs are a good comprimise suspension package - lower, but the ride won't knock your fillings out. Avoid coilovers - too extreme, and cheap ones won't last long.

Just to echo what's been said above - Sport springs are harder than the normal ones anyhow. Any other lowering springs won't be any softer. The Eibach springs are progressive anyhow (not linear) so retain a bit of softness until pushed - they stiffen the more weight (cornering force) is put on them. I'm not sure if any others are like that.

Go for Eibach springs then 2067-140 for your car. The other things to get are a new pair of top mounts for the front springs (you'll kick yourself if they fail after you've done the work) and some new lower pinch bolts (hold the strut to the hub on front). Also the rear lower shock bolts should be renewed (one per side).
Have a look at the condition of your shocks when they come out of the front. The rears don't come out - just get unbolted at the bottom.

That all sounds just what i'm looking for thanks.
Do i just tell the garage to check those bits or shall i just buy them and ask them to fit them anyway?
Sorry i don't know a lot about cars so i just pay people to do the work.
