today on the way to work a yellow light came on, its the one next to the ABS light which I believe means the brake pads are worn???

firstly am I right in thinking this?

if so, are the sensors only on the front brakes or rears aswell??

If it's a yellow circle with dashed curved lines either side, then that will be a warning that your pads are low. You have 1 sensor per axle...NSF and OSR.

thats definitely the symbol! thought it was a brake pad warning.

so does that mean it could have been the front or the rear brakes that have tripped the sensors??

Could be either. You need to physically check the pads to see how low they are...usually 3mm left when sensor is triggered. Make sure you replace the sensor since it is worn now

sorted, at least i'm not goin to have to replace 2 sensors then!

out of interest why don't they have 4 on the car? 1 on each wheel would surely make more sense?
