The pads sound mighty frickin expensive from Kwikfit..... Is there a Hi8 or Formula 1 nearby you can ring to get some comparative prices, as I have done this and kwikfit have dropped their prices like a stone.....

They reckon nearly 3 hours work if the shoes need doing, 2 and a half if not. I've negotiated £350 all in fitted with the shoes, and £290 without.

That's sounding much healthier - what do you think?

Yeah, he's a star....that's saved me at least £150....plus the price match help on tyres has saved me £120..... On the downside my car will have cost me £550 this week and my negotiated down oil change will be another £138. Kwik fit says they can do for £38.....still the matter of the reset light and the microfilter....but worth considering? They guarantee to use Mobil 1 fully synthetic.....

£350 sounds like a good price
