Well guys hope you can help. I'm now after coilovers, I was originally going with springs and dampers but now have smaller summer wheels so would like adjustable suspension. I was after a nice stance but not undrivable, so I was thinking if the arch was to be just above (by a couple of mm) or inline with tyre that would be ideal for me. I have narrowed it down to the 2 following kits -

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AP-Coilove...#ht_4160wt_898

Coilover Group Buy - All Models Included!

The only major difference between the kits are that the AP's will drop 90mm, an extra 20mm than the Lowtecs. Although Chris from Madeone has advised that the Lowtecs will wind down further than 70mm but will be out of their TUV rating and "The ride shouldn't be much worse"

I'm basically after a rough idea of how much I would have to lower my car to achieve my desired drop (complete novice when it comes to cars). But I do know I will require a 4 wheel alignment (will do this on the winter wheels and ride height). Also if anyone has any advice (good or bad) or recommendations please real free to post.

    So few details -

Winter wheels - MV3 style 18x8.5J's all round. ET35 all round (IIRC)
Winter Tyres - 225/40/R17's all round.

    Summer Wheels - Fronts - BBS RC041's 17x7.5J. ET41 (stamped IS41)
    - Rears - BBS RC042's 17x8.5J. ET41 (stamped IS41)
Summer Tyres - Fronts - 205/40/R17's (so slight stretch)
    - Rears - 225/40/R17's (so slight stretch)

Measurements between arch and winter wheels/tyres are - Front 55-60mm
    - Rear 25-30mm

Although I will take the car out at the weekend and see if there is any difference in measurements.

    Anyone??.........

Just to add to this. I know I will require shortened drop links (supplied with both kits I believe) and also front and rear top mounts. Is there anything else I will require?

Small update. Coilovers are order from Chris at Madeone and may even get fitted before Xmas Does anyone know if I will require spacers or is it a bit of a guessing game when the coilys are fitted?

Cheers Dan. I opted for the H9.3 in the end as the savings were ridiculous and still in my price range. Specs on the wheels are above in the first post, any advice? I was going to replace top mounts all round, would you recommend anything else?

with your wheel specs you should be alright mate if anything you may need maybe a 5mm spacer just for a bit of clearence between the wheel and the coilover it all depends on how wide or how big the coilover is mate

yeh id put some new top mounts on while you are there and of corse the smaller drop links like you have said before and think your probaly set mate to start fitting matey

i cant think of anything else that i did

Thanks for the info mate. Hopefully should be with me Wednesday-Friday and I can measure the strut up to see if I need spacers and longer bolts
