    I'm not sure, there is plastic that is peeling away from the springs but inderneath that is a hell of a lot of rust and one definetly has a slight crack in it.

    there is always that old chessnut! did they have the right springs fitted! mine had green stripes on them that relate to sport springs, cracked springs wouldn't make it high! if any thing they would make it slightly lower, but if only a crack and not a bend then i dought that also. mine sits about 8mm lower than the passenger side!

    Mine does too.

    The old springs just look like normal springs (no green stripes). One of the BMW service guys once mentioned that it could have been that they might not be the correct springs because of the way the car sat but when it had an service they said the suspension was ok.
