My car has extreme steering wheel shake at 50mph. Go faster and it dissappears. Under breaking and decceleration it shakes again and pulls to the left (under breaking).

My guess is that the lower control arm bushing has worn away?

Got it booked in to Clayton cars on thursday to get it sorted.. unless someone wants to look at it for me?

From those symptoms, I would be inclined to say it was more of a ball joint problem.

I am new to these cars and interested in the results of this work. I plan new bushes and arms etc on mine soon.

i have had mine done, about a month ago... but mine was not doing that, it was more of a wandering feeling, and if i was on full lock and braked or accelerated, it felt like the body was pushing over the wheels....

    will have to see m8

Forgot to post back on this! sorry guys!

    Was a seized brake caliper!

Those Clayton cars fellers tried to rip me off saying that i needed new brake disks and pads. In the end I got the caliper changed elsewhere and got the other one greased up and it's all been fine ever since. They charged me £15 for the diagnosis! cheeky if you ask me, wont be going there again!
