Hey guys, im thinking of changing the shocks on my car, just for new ones not upgrading etc. Was looking at Bilstein OEM B4's which seemed to be nicely priced, but then came accross Bilstein's website & they list different shocks for an M-tech equpped E36 (like mine), which are the B8's. However these are approx £100 more than the B4's, so my question is, would there be much of a difference under normal use? (i.e, between my current shocks & B4's) My car doesn't have the "Avus" shocks, so im hoping the B8's are possibly a replacement for these? Damn M-tech suspension! Cheers guys.

Under normal use I would say no, if you were ragging it around a track you may notice it

Unless you are doing track days the B4's I would think will be fine, I'm sure some suspension gurus will chime in

    Also just found this: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...40&hg=33&fg=95
Refers to a kit which consists of arb's & springs, but no shocks, im guessing either a dealer retrofit, or a cheaper factory option.
