Have a word with Ewin (Hottunning) on here. I'd have thought you should be able to get them somewhere. Seems a shame to scrap them when you could claw some pennies back. If you can obtain some then you can cut the old ones off.

Im not concerned so much with clawing back pennies, its more that im a hoarder (i have a set of lowering springs for a Mk5 astravan/estate, still... 3 years on )
And i want to keep them on the off-chance i turn this into a track-car when i get a new one or get old enough to insure an E36 cheaply with mods

Hopefully i can sourse some. I know i didn't buy them from Ewin on here, i bought them from fleabay... But they are the same ones, just sold under a different name (they are all Raceland )
Besides, whether i chop 'em off or not, they are FUBAR'd now anyway HAMMERS AT DAWN!!!

Well, i managed to sort it Couldn't get the little buggers loose for love nor money, So i took the rogue approach, and just undid the top-mount bolts and hoped for the best There was a little bit of tension on them, but the springs didn't go flying so all was OK

Car is now back on standard suspension Just one question.... Supposedly its the 'sport' version. The front shocks are made by Sachs, have a label that says Sport on them and a blue sticker... However, im not so sure the springs are the right ones. Is there any way to tell for sure It looks like they had some blue paint on at one point, but the car doesn't sit 'Lowered' like i would expect. Does anyone have some pictures to show the difference between a standard setup and the OEM Sport version

I'll clean them up and see if a few gallons of penetrating oil dont solve the problem first. Then we shall discuss further
