    Hi,
First of all im new here and having brought the above on Friday, thought it would be a good idea to join.

Sorry if this has already been answered but i have tried the search and cant seem to find the exact answer im looking for lol.

The handbrake doesn't hold the car even when parked on a gentle slope but there is resistance there when the lever is pulled up.

The car has drums on the back and disks on the front.

Any ideas wot i can try as i havn't got a clue wot im looking for?

    Cheers

    J

You may be able to tighten the handbrake cable abit by removing the gaitor and tightening things up. If you've only got minimal resistance and it's just not holding it might be time for a new cable / shoes / cylinder.

ATS have quite a good system where they'll do a free brake check. That could diagnose a problem for you for free and they'll give you a quote to fix

    I don't think it's a massive / expensive job

I would be thinking that you would be needing new shoes there are how-to's on how to do this on the site if you feel competent enough to do it...
