    hi all
just had a service on my 316i and all the brakes need some attention. i need to buy new front disks and pads and also new rear drums and shoes.

been looking at ebay at mintex front disks and pads for £65, will these need new callipers to fit the standard ones or not, also looking at origional drums and shoes

anyone any ideas on what brakes to fit???

With it being a 316, do you really need the very best of the best?

As for pads, if going for a serious upgrade, I would only recommend Ferodo DS2500.

As for discs, GSFCP do Brembo MAXX discs at about £80 p/pair.

I personally have the ATE power discs and Textar pads all on my BMW sourced from Eurocarparts at approximately £90 for the lot at the front, about £70 at the back.

Whilst I do drive very quick and brisk on occasions, these have lasted me about 3 years and still have lots of life, with no judder, wear marks or any braking problems
