Hi hope some one can suggest something, i have just changed my rear shocks and springs plus rear shock mounts.
The squeaking disappeared initially with the fresh set up but re appeared after a few miles. It is definitely coming from the suspension some where. Just can't figure it out, could it be the spring pads?. Have changed the RTABs as well.

    Cheers
    Ian

    When is it squeaking mate.....
Is it when you've parked up and you getting out of the car ? Is it when your driving ?

If its when your parked and getting out of the car id be tempted to check the handbrake tension actually. I thought i had a suspension issue on the old car for a while but it was due to the handbrake being a bit slack.

If it's when you drive.... have you checked the rear turrets/top mounts. They are a weak point on the e36. A common fix for this is to use the Z3 rear mounts or an upgraded stronger mount such as a rouge kit.

+1 on the handbrake side. if its when your parked up try moving the suspension up and down with the handbrake on and off to see if it squeaks with it off.

Cheers guys i have put new top mounts on, Z3 plates, new Powerflex RTABs, Eibach springs and new Bilstein shocks so that's all fresh.

It tends to be when i drive over uneven road.

When i had the car on stands and changed everything i went for a test drive and nothing? Then after driving around for a while it started to squeak again.

Before i changed everything there wasn't any noise so it must be suspension related, could it be dodgy top mounts? will also try greasing spring pads any other suggestions welcome.

    Cheers
    Ian
