Hey guys, I wish to uprate my braking system, starting first with shortening the pedal travel. I've read on a site that if you use E46 330i front calipers and discs, with Z3 carriers, then they will bolt straight onto an E36 strut, but you get long pedal travel, so to compensate, use an E36 M3 servo and master cylinder.
So, If I JUST change my 323i servo and master cylinder to an M3 unit, keep my standard brakes as they are for now, then do I get very minimal brake pedal travel to stop? I've just checked the part numbers on RealOEM, and my car HAS ASC, and says I have an ATE servo, but the M3 of the same year, 1997, has a Lucas. Can I just stick the M3 Lucas servo and master cylinder on in place of my ATE or is that too easy?
