I have some new springs and shocks for my e36 320,

Are there any related bushes or mounts that are advisable to change while i'm at it?

yeah while you are at it you may want to fix powerflex bushes all round and put in new top mounts for the shocks-will improve handling

Is it quite obvious when the top mounts are shot or is it worth having some new ones ready to go straight in. Are there upgraded ones available?

I would have some ready to fit. If they are the originals the car would really benefit. They are bearings in the top, so do wear out and become notchy over time...

Any particular bushes to replace? How much would it cost to do them all all round i.e. total cost of all the bushes?
