Hi folks I just fitted a set of AK Coilovers and they seem fine loving them but there's a small clunking noise after fitting them from the passenger rear top mount! We have check spring + shocl and there nice and tight everything seems good took mount off and the washer fell off? Does this mean goosed and need a new 1,

The noise is a cross between a clunk and a sqweek very hard to describe, any opinions etc. Am gratefull

    Cheers chris

Don't buy cheapo ebay ones that won't last a minute. Get Lemforder from europarts.com. They're still cheap really

The link is below for your make and model mate:

    http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/BM...sion-Mountings

In my limited experience knackered top mounts don't really make a clunk (or booming noise from the rear) but rather a squeaking noise or bit of a rattle. A clunk is usually shot away bushings on the diff or drive shaft but as you say it's coming from the top mount and it only started on changing the suspension then it kinda narrows it down a bit. Depends on what you define as a clunk I suppose.

Mine did the same thing mate (rattling and squeaking) and changing the top mounts sorted it.
