For a quick standard upgrade you're best looking at the larger engine petrol models (328, M3 etc) as they will have beefier roll bars fitted.

Check out BMWfans.info should tell you which models are fitted with which diameter bars.

Failing that Eibach and H&R make upgraded anti roll bar kits; they're are around £300+ odd.

Go for the 328 ones. The M3 front ones mount different as they fix to the strut and you wont have the brackets. Also the 328i sport front roll bar is thicker. Just remember to get the mounting brackets and bushes. You 316i front links will be the same...

if you come across a 318iS check if it has the msport suspension, they have a 26mm ARB
    usually they are 23.5mm
