I had these fitted on Frid and after having a few days with the car i feel that the car is getting more comfortable to drive, I guess they are bedding in.
The kit itself is top quality and my mechanic initially cussed me for being stupid and spending thousands on race suspension for occasional track use on a road car!! When i told him the price he couldn't believe these were for £800. especially seeign as they had camber & caster adj top mounts and were heightand bounce/rebound adj.front and back.
The handling is superb, definately harder than std, even though they are set to soft but not uncomfortable. The whole car has been transformed in every respect. There is more road noise but I can live with that. The cornering is flat no matter what speed i am doing and hard gear changes can really be felt now as it doesn't dip at the back, it just lurches forward ever time the clutch is let go. Being totally honest, you can feel imperfections when the road is very rough and that is when there is more road noise as well but that is to be expected with coilovers. On the flipside motorways and smooth roads are awesome and more than make up for this. Since the first session of alignment has been done the car drives dead straight and feels even better than the first night I drove it back. It just feels like i'm enjoying my car all over again. Picking up speed is the best feeling ever, actually no, the best ever bit is the twisties, it just feels totally planted and instills so much more confidence. I can't wait to go to a track and explore the full potential now and actually see when the car lets go around corners.
Driftworks, the co I bought them off have been superb with their support over the phone an have new adjusters that they have just released which they will be shipping to me for free!:thumbsup. Overall, very happy and would recommend these to anyone:hihi
Here is how it sits at the moment, I do want it lower abut 1.5" at front and 1" rear, I'm hoping that won't be too much and ruin the handling!
