    Quick question, bar the M3. Will E36 springs fit any E36 ? i.e will 328is springs fit a 316is for example ?

    saw this on roadrunner:

    3 series Coupé (E 36) 316i, 318is, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i 06.92 - 04.99 900 kg 1070 kg/ 2033-140

which tends to hint they do, so just wondering ?

    cheers.

They all fit mate, even the M3 ones.

The problem you will have is you wouldn't want to fit 4 cylinder springs to a 6 cylinder and vice versa

6 Cylinder front springs will fit a 4 cyl, but the front will sit high as the 6 pots are 100 kgs heavier at the front.

4 Cyl front springs will fit 6 cyl, but will sit stupidly low and give crap handling due to the extra weight.

IIRC rear springs are the same but can differ in rates touring and cabrio have heavier duty rear springs....
