I'm looking at changing my front brakes as they need a full overhaul at the moment and am looking at changing to brembo calipers which are from an E38 7 series.
Does anyone know what's involved in making these fit or if they will fit at all?

Dunno about the 7 series, but I know the E46 330i will be a nice and bolt-on upgrade (calipers and rotors). IIRC, they are the same size as M3 3.0L brakes, so should be more than enough for the 325.
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesn’t move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.

The 7 series calipers don't fit the ones you want are the 8 series 840ci Brembo's and E46 M3 discs

The 8 series ones bolts straight up to M3 hubs, but not the regular E36 stuff.

They can be made to fit with adaptor brackets, and these will allow you to use some of the more common Brembo 4 pots, found on (I believe anyway..) Mitsi evos, Porsches (although it might need to be the rear calipers from the Porsche) and I've even seen a 330i with Aston Martin branded Brembos.
