    hey guys,
    just wondering if theres a simple straight swap brake conversion for the e30 320i
    i have goodrige hoses already, im just after some bigger calipers and siscs that i can swap in for my standards

    260mm front vented brakes are used all the way up to the 325i. If I were you, I'd see if E36 caliper carriers fit onto E30 struts - then you'll be up to at least 286mm (or 300mm if you look in my guide on this forum ) if they do.

    Also, consider a disc upgrade for the back, maybe from an E30 325?

    Deffo upgrade the back to disc first. E30 325i rear hubs and brake assemblies should all be a direct fit. You may need the disc brake handbrake cables as well....

    Does anyone know if the E36 carriers fit onto the E30 hubs?

    If not, I'll check tomorrow, as I have a pair of brand new E36 calipers spare now.

    Rear drum to disc conversion is very high on the important list of to-do items for most E30 owners, especially me!
