Default e36 restoration and further mods

Hi to all.
New member just joined. Thought I would introduce myself.
ok currently own 1995 Maderia Violet e36 325i cab and my aim is to try and restore it back to good condition.

Currently its having bodywork done ...few major scratches , dents etc.
then the rh x rad alloys are off for full refurb, roof is getting full renovo treatment leather is being fully cleaned and a few electrical issue need to be addressed. Finally hoping to get the car detailed with most money going towards paint correction. allready has twin tails and is dropped.

I must admit over the years have let it go with kids and family but as all you dedicated people know thats all about to change.

Other car is 2007 520d m sport ...more of a family car and is standard factory + leather and factory tints.

Cant wait for final resluts and will defo put pics up, before and after.

Thanks for reading

Nick.

Default e36 restoration UPDATE

HI, ok the resstoration started and at the same time broke my camera.

Anyway had the body work done so dent on wing is sorted and smart repaired a few major scratches. Car is looking tidy.

tomorrow wheels are back from full refurb with outer lip polished / diamond cut.

Had a result with the centre caps. As the are RH x rads and not available mainstream anymore contacted RH in Germany and was told that the business was in administration.... the chap there said no probs and sent out a new set of centre caps FOC. Nice one RH! End result will be brand new alloys at the price of refurb. sorted!

Cant wait to get the wheels back and will start posting some pics.

Default e36 restoration update

hi all, well its not good news. Wheels came back finally yesterday. Roof was down and sun was out. The wheels looked the nuts and it felt good driving....

Evening came and thought over a galss of wine lets just have another look

Noticed the following: 2 small dent on spoke, air bubbles on outer lip, metal fillings on the inside and chip to inner lip. Now i thought sod that, i picked the wheels up and drove home so no kurbing or bad roads with sones driven on.!!!

So last night wifey decides to do a full inspection with me and noted all the floors. thanks!

Back to shop today and showed them...first replies were a bit annoying and thought "here we go". After showing all the faults they quickly agreed and took the wheels off. nice one!!!

Thinking back should have had a major inspection when collected but hey never mind.

So waiting untill next week for wheels, 4th July autoglym trained valet whole day full car, and then off to be detailed.

Will keep this thread updated.

thanks for reading
