Hi guys
so where do i start......
well ive never actually done a project thread for the saloon from start to present day (or any of my cars come to think of it lol) so i thought i would create one instead of every new thing i do just creating new threads and then i can just update this each time keeps it all together....
also ive never created a (new member) thread to introduce myself when i signed up to the forum so just quickly let me now... my name is dan i live in the bromley area im currently 24 to this date i drive a blue e46 2002 320i saloon some of you know it well and others dont so either way if you wanted to know its story while ive owned it then have a look :thumbsup
so i am sorry for the guys out there that have seen some of the pics as i go along before but im sure there will be some new ones aswell so keep a look out and as always all comments are welcome good or bad and if you want to know any info on how ive done things please ask ill be more than happy to help
ok......here goes :hihi
i picked the car up the start of 2009 in january totally standard with 59000 miles on the clock with one previous owner, before i brought the car i said i wasnt going to do anything to it that i was going to keep it standard and original to the girlfriend (at the time)as she hated modified cars..:confused.. ive sadly not got a picture of the car just as i got it standard but im guessing you know what one looks like standard :hihi. so within the first week of owning i got my private plate and a set of 18" m6 reps with black centres 18x8.5 et37 all round put on and that was ment to be it for modding :hihi
as you can see it sat very high for my liking so i lowered it on springs 50mm/40mm and that was ment to be it for the modding :hihi this was the out come
so all was ok it sat better on the rims i was happy with the way it looked for now :hihi
so thats how it stayed for ages as i got told off but my ex girlfiend as we was ment to be saving to move out.....
then we had all the bad snow
and i know i shouldnt of done but i just had to take it out and have some fun so sadly being a c**t i did and took it to a car park and did what ever.... on the way back is where it went wrong i was driving slowly (honestly i was) hit some black ice and put the n/s/f up a curb cracked the m6 alloy lucky as i was only crawling i didnt do no more damage to anything else so i limped home and took it to my local garage in the morning and got a new m6 wheel ordered up so after that i thought id go for a change i got the m6 wheel inserts sprayed blue to match the car and mirror polished the faces
and i loved them when i got them back from the body shop and put them on straight away
so one thing lead to another and me and the ex girlfriend split so then i kind of didnt stop with the modding
i did the double din headunit retro conversion and fitted a avic d3 pioneer satnav/dvd/ipod headunit which is very good :thumbsup
then coming up to more the present time i got hold of a set of coilovers (adjustable suspension) for cheap as chips so i couldnt say no :hihi.... ive always wanted a car to sit on the deck so i thought to myself why not make it this one
then i was on the look out for a new set of wheels...
id like to thank mark at extreamwheels on the forum for helping me out loads with this but in the end i found a guy selling a set of original bbs style 5's in white 17x8 et10 front 17x9 et19 rear that has always been a fav wheel of mine
they had come off his e36 which i thought looked schhwweeeet :hihi
so i fitted them with some fun due to them being a low offset while trying to keep the car low as poss :rofl
also i removed the front number plate and fitted the straight plastic trim in its place and de-chromed all the trims to tidy the front/sides up :thumbsup
i then got a new back box fitted which sounds amazing and it now grumbles away :hihi i will try get a vid up but im not good with the posting on youtube stuff :hihi:rofl
as you can see i relocated my sidelights to my indicators to give it that u.s. spec look
and just to nearly finish up the one picture that really makes it look good was one that was taken for speedhunters.com for there website
so that guys brings us up to the current day hope you have enjoyed reading thanks for looking at my pictures i am sorry if ive posted pictures more than once and if i do anything new ill be sure to post it with pictures on this thread :thumbsup
