Also went out for a drive. Although I didnt drive it myself, it felt bloody quick from the passenger seat! Way quicker than stock power. It also has a bypass valve (like the DASC) between the plenum and throttle body intake, so when off boost you still get a smooth drive and decent economy. But the instant you hit the throttle sharply, the valve snaps closed and it spools up rapidly. The system uses the standard pulley size from the Mini Cooper S and designed to run within the limits of the existing injectors, fuel pump and ecu. I may upgrade the fuel pump at some point but will see how it goes first. I've already renewed the fuel filter.

I have just put a deposit on a kit for the M44. It will be another couple of weeks until it is ready to ship, as he is waiting on parts to complete the first few kits, namely the plates for the intake plenums to come back from CNC machining.

Like the DASC, the system uses a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, a BEGI fuel management unit. This bit is my only real concern, as I don't know much about how to set these up, but I'll discuss again when I go to pick the kit up when it's ready.
Have you heard any more from Peter ? Interested to know if you are close to receiving the kit?

I've had an update last week from Pete at GKD on where we are with the charger kit. Not had a chance to post on here until now.

There have been a few modifications to the kit so I’m told, and are still going through manufacture. The main one is to the throttle body, to make it also fit into an E30 as well as E36. It will be another few weeks, so I reckon another month. Which is ok by me – can’t be arsed with standing about outside in this cold!!

It's great to hear your progress. I've already got a m 45 supercharger and I'm only waiting to see how the kit goes before I take the next step. Hope all goes smoothly looking forward to the results

Just swapped out the old pre-production plenum to Pete's production one so here is a pic of it, excuse the battery charger leads hanging over the place. Note the solution for the MAF in this set up is different to the E36. On a private road with this light car 2nd gear lasts about 2.5 secs so 30-60 is quick, in may be my imagination but the exhaust note seems to have deepened too and there is virtually no supercharger whine I've heard but then no windscreen makes for a windy noisy experience anyway. There were quite a few small changes Pete showed me but perhaps others might not be able to spot them all from a pic.

Had an update from Peter at GKD today. The kit is ready! I'm getting the brand new production kit so I'm told. I can't go and pick it up until 11th May unfortunately. But it's finally ready!
