As I understand from Peter at GKD he is awaiting some parts from the US and will have a few kits available before Christmas. I've not been down to get a copy of the charts to post up, just too busy with work to fit it in. He was quite happy with how things have come along. Sorry haven't got any more info yet.

Just spoken with Peter at GKD:

Rolling road on P reg 140k miler, budget tyres, new'ish fuel filter, it made 204 bhp and 181lb/ft, a bit more it would seem see a youtube clip he posted

He also said for M44 engines he was happy enough to ship now.

One thing we noticed is the condition of the supercharge blades does make a noticeable difference on the lighter car, so when hunting out those auction bargains pay attention to the condition, may be obvious but in a test it felt noticeable so guessing that means at least 10% in real figures.

Wow that looks great!! Thanks for the info. Rich. Is that your motor? Any more on how it drives?

I am just about to go away for work for three weeks, should have a free week mid/end of Feb. I was hoping to go over to GKD in Maidstone and have a talk with Pete and have a look at a kit, maybe see one fitted if theres an m44 car in the workshop. I'll give him a call pretty soon!

Mine is the kit car with the same setup but with 660Kg weight(old 318is) which makes it a bit more lively at just over 300bhp per tonne. Already contemplating next phases for that little bit extra

That is a P reg car that Pete has in the workshop so I think it should be around for a few weeks at least, it is an imported 318is saloon from SA so has 4 doors and the M44, not something I think was sold in UK.

It drives surprisingly well compared to what I was expecting, keeping a lot of the original feel but spins up quickly enough on old tyres in the wet to struggle to grip for a bit, really a significant difference to standard. The trouble I have is comparing to the much lighter car with much more of a race setup, LSD and sticky tyres(useless in this weather though).

Looking good! I'm away overseas at the moment with work, I spoke to Pete again last week before I left, am going up to GKD one day week commencing 18th Feb to have a look at the kit he's got installed on the development/demo car (the one in the dyno video), and all being well place an order!

I plan to have a go fitting the kit myself so will make a thread (with plenty of pics) to let you all know how it goes Cant wait, it's about time I had some more go to match the show!

I met up with Peter on Friday to see the prototype kit on the demo car. Looked very neat and tidy, it's clear a lot of effort has gone into it to make it a smart install. Also went out for a drive. Although I didnt drive it myself, it felt bloody quick from the passenger seat! Way quicker than stock power. It also has a bypass valve (like the DASC) between the plenum and throttle body intake, so when off boost you still get a smooth drive and decent economy. But the instant you hit the throttle sharply, the valve snaps closed and it spools up rapidly. The system uses the standard pulley size from the Mini Cooper S and designed to run within the limits of the existing injectors, fuel pump and ecu. I may upgrade the fuel pump at some point but will see how it goes first. I've already renewed the fuel filter.

I have just put a deposit on a kit for the M44. It will be another couple of weeks until it is ready to ship, as he is waiting on parts to complete the first few kits, namely the plates for the intake plenums to come back from CNC machining.

Like the DASC, the system uses a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, a BEGI fuel management unit. This bit is my only real concern, as I don't know much about how to set these up, but I'll discuss again when I go to pick the kit up when it's ready.
