Took SC off so car could be run at Castle Comb for a Teenage Cancer charity day as the fueling component failed - being replaced by a higher quality one and that would have taken 5 days to arrive so in one day we took it off to run the car.
Getting the fuelling pressure right to use standard ECU has been main focus recently it revs up really quickly and without the weight to shift it does shift.

Slow in comparison but still 5 secs to 60, with SC on it is a tad quicker

When component in and we have a chance to run car back to workshop we'll refit and I'll post the data / pics and vid but that won't be for a couple weeks now as car off on a little holiday run.

Also for a production kit the hoses have been simplified, either will bring this car up to Gaydon with SC on(depends on weather a bit as no roof or windscreen) or if more progress made Pete may take a 318is up.

I can imagine as it makes a huge difference and after the fiddling done to make it all work it should be a relatively simple mechanical swap. As said car is now away and Pete has taken a holiday so the theory is all back together before Gaydon 19th August and will do some pics and charts etc. before then.

Getting the fuelling right for use with standard ECU in higher revs was where we were before component failure. New component is of higher quality but not yet tested on the car but given how it was soo close to being done it isn't far off now.

Before Pete went away we did take off from the road car what was needed to refit the kit so it is all ready to go, based on that experience and taking into the fact we've had this on and off my car a few times now I suspect the swap from scratch to be 4 hours to do. One fiddly bit with the way the wiring loops through that needs to be altered but that would be the same for any of these solutions or at least I couldn't figure a way round it and neither could Pete.

Not forgotten to do the pics, no real different ones in library apart form the different evolutions of the prototype taken to get where it is. I did push Pete on cost for the future and he was a bit cagey so you'll have to ask him directly when it comes to it.

One taken with the -1 generation lying in place not running. Note the BMW earlier inlet manifold is no longer sold and not being used on latest version.
