They are completely useless and do nothing at all.
Save your money and buy some new tyres all round... that will make the car much faster (point to point with quality tyres) than a turdbonator!

They are a complete waste of time and money

Rather than waste your money on an electric turbo (I cant believe people still fall for it, they will be sticking whistlers up their exhausts next), I would give the car a damned good wash and wax. There is more chance that the infinitely miniscule reduction in drag between a dusty or dirty car and a clean waxed car would translate into 300 percent more forward motion under power than the electric turbo would. Thinking about it, just going to the toilet before you drive the car would probably give better results than the fan.

Or you could empty the boot of all those things you dont need in the car and the weight saving would increase power to weight by at least some degree, even if all you have in the boot is two packets of crisps and a mars bar.

These electric turbos have their uses, I use one to blow on my face and cool me down when in traffic They dont even do that very well.

Serios note tho, I use one to provide possitive crank case ventilation without putting oil mist into the inlet air. Apart from that the flow rate is stupidly small. I had flow testing done on my head and the flow was something like 237 times more than the electric turbos can flow, no joke!

christ you guys, you aint givin this poor guy any alternatives are ya?! Robjay - I've noticed that whatever you want to do to your car there's always someone who'll disagree and tell you how shite it is - in this case, these guys are right lol, but have you looked into getting it chipped? It'll cost you that few hundred but it will make your car more responsive as I know how delayed the throttle power can be in your car.

Thank god you were not taken in by this pile of crap. I am amazed at other tuning aids that get sold over the internet that make wild claims about adding performance to a vehicle.

I remember one such piece of apparatus that was touted by the manufacturer as adding 20-30 BHP to a car.
One or two people who had never been heard of (but saying they were purchasers of the product). Exclaiming joyously as to the new found speed their cars now did after fitting this very simple tuning aid.

Of course the product was no more than an electric fan (similar to a hair dryer....only smaller) that claimed to be a Tubocharger.

I was amazed when people on the internet bought it. Then wrote about their sad dealings in trying to get their money back from a non existant company that never answered emails and seemingly had no postal address to complain too.

In fact.....because I have learned about this type of stuff. I have decided to manufacture a piece of tin that slides inside your exhaust and gives off a high pitched whistle. We all know of course that there will be many unsuspecting punters out there who will buy this....because any type of noise increase means a greater power gain.

None on this site of course

saw some tests a few years ago and they actually lost power due to effectively a blockage being placed in the inlet!

    Pure Snake oil!!!!
