Hi all!! I have a 318 E46 Compact and ive been looking at electric superchargers, ebay is full of them but ive been doing some research and the reviews are about 50/50 whether they work. They look quite cool and also u get the dump valve included so will probably sound pretty good. these are the ones im looking at, any advice please??

Be interested to see one of these tried and tested on a Rolling Road but i'd be a little weary of that propeller becoming dislodged and getting sucked into the engine...

What are other member views/experiences on this subject???

They are a big steaming pile of horse poo, putting on a nitrous sticker adds more power, everybody knows that .
I got 50 extra torqs and 40 rwhp from putting on a turbonator

No, otherwise you would hear of more manufacturers fitting them.
Have you ever heard in rallying,Formula 1, touring cars,Moto GP,Indy,1/4 mile santa podders etc of electric superchargers?

Hi all thanks for advice, glad I didnt waste my money on one of those!! I asked an ebay member that had brought 1 of those if they were any good and he replied

'Hi. It isnt as good as it sounds in the add!
You cant here the dump valve as it doesnt work like a normal one so there is no whooooosh! Just sounds like you have an induction kit on.
Better buying a good quality k&n filter kit in my oppinion'

So Ronnie, are you serious about this turbonator thing or just winding me up because im reading mixed reviews about those too!!

electric superchargers and turbonators only work in conjunction with a flux capacitor and 1.2 jiggawatts of electricity

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooo

They are an utter fallacy guys.

They do not work in the slightest.

Search the internet for some threads taking the p*ss out of them...

The amount of energy it takes to spin a supercharger could never be produced by a poxy little electrical motor like that....
