The main issue with supercharging is the ECU mapping required (finding somewhere that is capable/trustworthy)

Realistically your going to look at anything from £3,500 to £10,000 k on getting it done.

A decent setup will be in the region of £5,000 and depending on how well your car is maintained and setup you could hope for about 330BHP with reliability.

Anything beyond this and you'll need to start looking at internals.

These lumps are incredably strong and tunability is pretty sweet for an everyday car but by the end of all the work you carry out a mint M3 would be cheaper and probably more reliable!

Go for a kit there's plenty out there that bolt straight on to my e39 !
That's my plan, as I get everything in the kit to take me to 300 plus, but not sure on other models other than e39
    Treat her like a lady!

there is no reason why you couldn't fit a mini supercharger to a 330. but you won't get that much extra. just the fact they are cheap to get hold of! but remember they are made for 4cyl cars and feeding a 6cyl will be a bit more of a struggle. still 50hp if you can get a map will be about right.

i would say less than that! you can get a new 1 for 4k, mini superchargers can be had for as little as £400 second hand. do the work yourself and the remapping will be around another £400. i would say that £1200 would be about right. thats why people go the mini s c route. then 50bhp for £1200 is very good. you could spend that on an exhaust, filter and remap and end up with 15 bhp if your lucky, unless you lose hp like a lot of aftermarket exhausts do with bmws.
