So after some more research into this subject I have found many companies offering the s/c kit for the M52 engine (the installation looks disgustingly easy too)
So which kit is best and why? what makes other kits 'poor'.
Based in the states, but are sponsors of someonesimilar.com and boasts a 320BHP output:

Most seem to use different "kits" and the names I keep seeing are ESS, Autowerke, CCR, Hamman but who is good, who isn't and why can't I piece together my own kits?!
Looks like the active autowerke unit is a Rotrex C38/71 unit which can be purchased new for £1,750 + VAT with oil tank and oil cooler as is good upto 320BHP but this would then require, pulley, management tune,
I have located a C30/84 unit for £1,500 online but if the compressor was running at peak I have a quoted BHP of 320MAX which begs the question is the right charger for future modification.. Or is it the perfect charger for sustained reliability on stock internals keeping everything nice, clean and sweet.
Oh and I am on an autobox, but I believe it suppose to cater for 390 torque, so hoping that bring the car to 300 + BHP will still keep the transmission safe (well that's me hoping) but would require regular fluid changes due to the additional strain!
