Impressive stuff! Where do you actually get the DASC from? Does it use a supplied throttle body or do you put your own back on?

I'll do the same in a few months when I've got the money together! Not too far off atm. I must have spent hours over the last few days having a look around. The price of yours is around the same of the prices (and labour) of the M52 conversion I was looking at.

    Did you have a BBTB?

That should increase the power even more! There are only really two issues with which way to go. The first is the cost. Swapping from an 328i donor car means I could make half my money back, the other issue is finding a DASC! But this idea of supercharging my M42 sounds really exciting, especially as I could do most of it myself.

Nice work! Would love to supercharge my 328, but it seems the cost of finding a supercharger and fitting it (on top of what I paid for my car) would almost be equiv to an M3!

What sort of gains would you get on a 318? 60-70hp?

Great, I love the sound also! Is there any reason why you chose to supercharge your car rather than go for an engine conversion or upgrade to say, a 330 for the extra power? Also, has your mpg dropped much at all?

the difference in price for me was down to the fact that i was insuring a standard 318iS
along with the engine coversion was and induction kit, M3 brakes all around, M3 coilovers, X-brace and a good bit of bodywork
ill need to have a chat with adrian flux about the wheels and the polybushes which will probably push it up a bit further
but still a £188 increase isnt bad at all
