hi, i want more power out of my 328i so i might fit a supercharger kit to, iv just done a full service with new metal waterpump etc but was just thinking will it take it on standard internals? its done 126k but has full bmw service history ect it is also an auto

also, running it at about 6-7 psi what sort of bhp would i get? it has a M50 manifold on it already. is this a good idea? if not im going to buy a cheap turbo car for track days/ weekend fun

bottom end should be ok...you could try a leakdown test to find out the condition of the upper end.
i would ask the bhp question to the s/c manufacturer tbh...so many variables
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

haha nah, im seriously considering it, i love the car but its just lacking on the power front. been talking to a few companies who do kits for mine, they say my car should handle a 80bhp increase without any troubles, and is quite safe to do so...

not sure tho, 80bhp is quite an increase and not sure

How much are they quoting you for the kit and fitting?

An extra 80bhp still leaves the power below the naturally aspirated 286bhp of the 3.0litre Motorsport engine.

Different kinds of power I know but I'm thinking the M would work out cheaper

here you go mate, i have looked at this mate and this is the best kit out there, not cheap

    310bhp / 270lb.ft
    £3399 (inc VAT)
Upgrade kit now available - See HERE for more info 370BHP

Run with the M3s. In your 328i.

Active Autowerke’s supercharger system can catapult your E36 328i into the front ranks, adding instantaneous power and low-end torque. With impressive results.

Specifically designed to run on super unleaded fuel and your factory cat, muffler and engine management system, this system uses our dyno-tuned software adjustments to manage ignition, fuel, vanos, rev limits, speed governors, etc – all programmed into the same onboard computer your car was born with. So the performance transition from normal to wicked is smooth and dependable, and totally reversible to stock. Even our oil cooling upgrade is self contained and non-intrusive of the factory oil system.

Bottom line: you experience near-M3 performance without experiencing bank account drain. Best of all, daily drivability and platform integrity remain as perfect as ever.

yeh was just about to say £3k for a full kit, i no a few fabricators tho so could just buy the charger and belt etc to keep costs down

what sort of price would a M3 conversion cost with gearbox etc

dont tempt me too much lol have to get a flexible friend amount i could spend on my car
