I´d do this again for 6k turn key setup.
assuming the car involved has a M50

We are getting a head flowbench soon so I was doing to clean the ports and some headwork in hopes of reaching 500hp with less then 1.5bar boost.

The original plan was to fit these two engines into E30´s but the buyers and i have struck a deal so it´s going to go into a E36 shell. I´m just trying to find one right now.

nice one! keep us updated with the progress! as steve said, a M50 turbo looks better than an S50, so might be interested as well.
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesn’t move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.

    Well a M50 turbo should have about 650nm @ 4k and 500hp@6200rpm or so.

Thats what 300nm more then a healthy B32 and 170hp more as well.

i wouldn't be aiming to those high figures as i'm intending to keep the stock internals for start. something like 350bhp should be more then enough to keep me happy for quite a while. problem is that i keep hearing about cars running rough, not starting, starting but idling etc. but probably a good software should keep things nice and smooth. anyway, for now, i'll limit my actions to reading and watching what other ppl are doing with their turbo M50's. good luck with the project and really looking forward to seeing the progress of it!

never thought that the standard M50 could cope with that much. different cars i read about on forums, nothing specific. it was just the impression that few projects i read about left me. nice one mate, i got to say, 500bhp on stock internals, smooth running and no vanos delete! i think i know what i want for x-mas!

presuming i would fit all the mechanical bits, how much would you charge for a PnP M50 turbo ECU?

778pounds for the ecu with wideband sensor and base map that will get it running nicely.

    Then you need mapping.
