I might as well post about the builds Ive been active in for the past many months.

I have two customers buying freshly rebuilt M50B25s non vanos that Ill be turbocharging to 500hp. Im not sure if Ill torque limit them or what but with electronic boost control I can basically control the torque curve all I want.

    Specs :

    M50B25 Non vanos
    ARP headstuds
    MLS 0.140 headgasket

    6 puck clutch
    M20 flywheel
    Sachs 618 pressure plate

    Holset HX40 7blade 16cm turbocharger
    Split pulse custom manifold
    "3 downpipe and exhaust system

24x12x3 intercooler most likely and "3 piping

440cc injectors @ 3.5bar or more fuel pressure
    Walbro intank pump
    and etc....

It will be powered by a PnP ecu Im working on for the M50/S50/M42/M60 families. The base of the ecu is VEMS but Ill be designing it so that its 100% plug n play and no further wiring is needed to get it working (no loose wires outside or inside the ecu).
Ive been using VEMS on alot of turbo bmws and its been great and keeps getting better.

I dont really have any pics at the moment but I do have alot of the parts all ready here just need to buy a E36 for cheap that has or used to have a M50 in it.

If anybody has any questions about the builds then just post them here.

Thats my next project car! an E36 turbo. Wll be very intereseted to see developments in this. Especially a P and P ECU . Also, if you get some good manifolds made that work well with decent turbo size like GT35R and RHD cars you will sell them...

    Top mount or bottom mount!?

I have not made a decision on the manifold yet. Its very tight for a top mount RHD setup.

Ill be making the manifold and if at all possible more to use with Holset HX35s and 40s Ive been selling. basically T3 fitments.

Not much going on at the moment.

The HX40 has arrived and it looks great.

The engines will both run on my very own PnP M50 VEMS standalone system (not a gutted oem ecu case with wires everywhere BTW!!).
Ill just have to unhook the old ecu and connect the new one and start it up :

It will run sequential fuel and with adjustable injection angle for maximum smoothness, emissions and mileage. The full spec list of the ecu theyll be using is

    Advanced Idle control
Boost solenoid control from inside the cabin via knob
    Sequential fuel , COP ignition
    400kpa MAP sensor

EGT safety guard (boost lowered if EGT rises above a specific target temp and fuel raised)
Internal wideband control for accurate fuel mixture correction during cruise and idle
Vehicle speed input from gauge cluster will allow for Boost control to be operated against speed or gear and is nice to log when tuning.

LCD to display the vital signs of the ecu for in-car monitoring.

They have the later option of
    Antilag, Launch control and flatshifting.

Ive already ordered the M50 non vanos bits but will be ordering the M50 Vanos, M52B23/B28 and Euro S50B30/32 (vanos delete) in the coming days and weeks.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

I'm looking forward to u being able to post some pics as this project comes together... seem very interesting. I've supercharged and a few mustangs and seen turbo builds on a few imports but never dealt with bimmers before.

looking forward to seeing the progress of this thread.
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesnt move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.

    Not really.

Things are moving very slowly. but progressing though.
