    Afternoon people!

Just a few quick questions for boosting a E36 328i (with warranty replacement block)

1, What is the very maximum safe boost on a totally standard engine (no spacer gasket)

2, Limit on standard fuel pump?

    3, Oil Pressure at 2000RPM and 6000RPM?

4, Max RPM limit on stock valvetrain

I am building my own turbo kit for this car and with working out pressure ratios, volumetric efficiency (VE) and cubic feet per minute (CFM) I have got the perfect turbo to be at it's most efficient, well within RPM limits and without surge and/or choke from 10psi to 25psi based on an engine at 87% VE and a rev limit set at 6500.

Looking at possible power gains this could range between 320-550bhp - obviously this depends on modifications.

    I will be using:

Custom tubular collected manifold (non-equal length) with a T3 flange
    Honeywell Garrett Turbocharger
Stainless Steel Oil and Coolant lines
Custom downpipe to suit to OEM cats
Custom intercooler and alloy pipe work
    MAF Relocation
    Forge Recirc valve
    Custom air intake

And I think that is about it 

Let me know what you all think 

    Mike

    for totally standard engine;

    1. 6 - 7 psi is good for boost
    2. I heard that stock fuel pump is good up to 330 - 350 hp
    3. I have 328i and my oil press is 25 psi in 2000 and 50 psi in 6000 rev.

as above 6-7psi is a safe boost, any higher and you need to consider internal and injector work.
