The guy who was in charge of the store seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. When I came back to pick up my car - the audio system sounded great, about x5, no x10 times bettet than my BMW hifi stereo. I wished the guy a merry Christmas and left.
On my way home, I have noticed that my angel eyes have stopped working. I was too far away from Bishops Stortfort to come back, so I have called their store instead. I have told the guy on the phone that my angel eyes have stopped working after the sound system upgrade. He seemed lost and just kept telling me to go through the idrive (which I have done many times!). Then he offered me to come in tomorrow (which I already had plans for - and I live far away!). Throughout the whole conversation, he have not apologised even once! The only thing he kept saying was that he did not know how it happened and the only thing they have done to the car was removing the battery and if I can't make it tomorrow, then I have to wait until the second of January.
Then I have sent an email to the owner of the store, who seemed rather lost himself and just said that they have put a great sound system together, however he never offered a decent solution.
So, today I drove to my local mechanic, who is a very professional and nice guy, who I have dealt with for a while. He told me that during the battery installation, the batter was short fed (I am not too good with technical terms) and the wiring in the angel eyes have started melting. He have offered to replace them by warranty, which we have done. The only thing I have paid for was labor and that was not a significant sum of money.
After this, I have emailed Gary at Audiofile-incar and told him what my mechanic told me. I never asked for any compensation or anything. I just wanted to hear "sorry" ffs (at the end of the day I have left a fully functional car with them and then when I picked it up - something is broken). In reply to my email I got: "Sorry, but that is nonsense, we have never even removed the battery (!!! exactly the opposite of what I was told over the phone !!!). I refuse to take any responsibility for that".
Guys, who is right in this situation? Maybe I am missing smt, but I think this is really poor customer service.
PS: Sorry for rushing and typo's. I am just a bit frustrated.
