I have had a problem with the drivers door handle from the outside for a while you would have to give it 2 or 3 good pulls. But now it wont open at all and it is a pain in the arse having to go around the other side to open the drivers door any suggestions appriciated.

Could you please remember to add the vehicle details and a informative title in the Thread Title next time as per forum rules please http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...ement.php?f=69, the Thread title has been done for you this time. It makes it far easier for people looking up help for their own problems or conversions if they have the same car. Which coincidently has been covered on the forum before, hence why you will be able to find it easily if you perform a search.

That's why Thread titles are so good when filled out correctly.

    Hi All,
I have just experienced the same problem this morning when i tried to get into my X5 and now the drivers door will not open from the outside but will open from the inside. Does anybody have details on how to remove the inner door panel to repair /replace the handle.

    Cheers

My car had the same problem in February with the cold weather we had, I fixed it by pouring warm water over the lock from outside, then squirted loads of WD-40 into the lock. since then it has been good.

Funny thing was it was only the drivers door that did this . Hope this fix works for your car
