hey guys, ive noticed CCFL angel lights dont take the cold too nicely, i installed them in the summer but since mid-november only the drivers side angel lights seens to be working, the other is just barely lighting, maybe a bit at the top, im thinking of buying another pair from ebay, but want to know if it possible to fix these instead of buying a new pair? I drive an e36 if that helps.
I had the same problem with my ccfl. i tried new inverters. but could not get them to fully light up sometimes. like you it only seemed to be a problem when it was cold. I got pissed of with them so i binned them and bought some of these, Thay are a little bit more expensive but iv had no trouble with them over winter. Thay have been installed for about a year now
the might work again as it warms up, then again they might not. you might have to buy new ones,
As others has suggested it might be your inverters, to check if its inverters with out buying new ones, you should check to see if you have volts comeing out of the inverter
As coddy says, LED angel eyes are better in the winter as they dont have the same cold stat up issues as ccfl's
when mine go i am fitting the normal bulbs back in. i like the ccfls but the light pattern does suffer a little.
