Not sure on the facelift front, or whether your looking for a petrol or diesel but 65k is barely run in on the majority of bmw engines. They are pretty bulletproof so as long as the car has a full service history, preferably from BMW, you should be fine.
Have a check in the technical section for the 5-series for more specific common things to look out for.
The changes are hard to spot from the outside, there are some changes to the dash layout down where the heated front seat buttons are and the I-drive controller gets an update making it a bit easier to use. The main changes from 2007 are under the bonnet with better power output, improved fuel consumption and lower emissions across the range.

The E60 gained even more acclaim after the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) model was released in 2008. This LCI model just included a "face-lift" of the front and rear end of the vehicle. This "face-lift" included new front bumper, fog lights, head lights, tail lights, and trunk. The interior was also slightly remodeled as well.
an easy way spot a facelight model is the fan tail rear lights, and the radio/CD system now has 6 programmable touch sensitive buttons below the main entertainment binnacle.
