Private sale probably from £4500 up and trade over £5000 as they usaully overprice their vehichles but may come with 12 month warranty if your lucky depends on condition/owners/service history etc it would also be worth more if it had satnav/tv/dvd but HK and power folding mirrors should put it towards the top valuation for age/mileage

If you can wait then search between sep-mar always the best time for low mileage bmw E46's .Summer you pay a premium for sure with traders their prices soon even out come autumn and are more realistic. Private sales can be even better around these times

Personally I'd be expecting about £3000, a lot of people don't want a 3 liter engines these days, and it's 10 years old. I'm sure it's a nice car and the low millage will attract people but if it was me on the lookout for a 330ci I'd be thinking anything over £3k was overpriced. In comparison, I paid £1400 for my 330ci (auto) which is now 14 years old back in January (6 months, 20K miles later, new MOT , it's still running great). I was really interested to read that everyone reckons that coupe's are worth more than verts and I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy a 330 vert instead....

Don't take my price comment as me just being grumpy, to me I wouldn't pay more based on my own experience but then again I'm probably not the average buyer. Good luck with your sale.

4k is too much....as mentioned they are considered gas gusslers and very expensive to tax and insure these days...unless your a person who wants the old skool BMW big 6 cylinder rumble most will dissregard them in their car searches...

ya might get 4k because of the low mileage but ya might have it a while and attract tyre kickers...

I priced the car in my earlier post to buy not sell so trade would be a little less than private sale if selling but either way i wouldnt listen to a word people have said in this thread they obviously dont know the value of a decent low mileage 10yr old E46 manual 330ci factor in you have power folding mirrors option, tyre monitor and electric sunroof the only thing that would have pushed the price up even futher would be to have satnav i stand by my first valuation earlier the lowest 330 m-sport car on autotrader with similar miles at the moment is £4990 and thats not even a MANUAL there aint even a 330 manual with less than 100k for £4000 so im not sure how people have come up with such low valuations id always be comparing with the current market. if u wanna sell that car for £3000 let me know i will view it

id imagine yours is something like this but yours has alot less miles so you see what im getting at trade will usually get them atleast £1000 cheaper than what their reselling at so like i said between £4500 and £5500 depending on how imaptient u get for sale

Fair points but a car is only worth as much as someone pays, just because people are asking £4990 doesn't mean that's what it will sell for.

Regarding higher millage, opinions are always divided on this subject. You always see people sate that an M54 is good for 200K+ miles if serviced properly. It comes down to how confident the buyer is. If they don't mind problems then they will probably would take a higher millage car for less. If they are more of the dealer garage service type they would probably favor lower millage and pay more. It comes down to the right buyer at the right time.
