this year gonna want to transport 4 bikes, 2 adult 2 kids, got a 3 bike rack, [limited to 3 if boot mounted] used it on my e36 coupe, the car did not like it, so no im thinking towbar or roof bars, roof bars for the bikes or a tow bar for a trailor, whats peoples experiance of roof mounted bike racks, and can you get a removable tow bar you cant see when detached
Go for Fapa Velo carriers on roof bars. Very secure attachments, no messing about with lighting boards, no chance of pedals clipping your paintwork and if the worst should happen and somebody runs into the back of your car your bike will still be in perfect working order so you can chase their ass down :rofl
The downside with any roof mounted carrier is that they can start to get expensive. The Fapa ones are about £35 each (still way cheaper than Thule ones at £80 a time :eek) and you're going to need four of them and roof bars if you haven't already got a set of those.
