Hi all, thought I would join a forum as I know nothing about cars and have a few things in mind to do to my motor.
    iPod integration
    Xenon lights
    New alloys
But I may need to save a tad, :(

    Let the fun commence

    Welcome to the forum!!!

My opinion; a car like the 520d I would try to keep it to the original spec.. Hopefully it's the Sport??

*I would consider a remap as this will give you better performance & possibly better economy!!
*iPod integration - there are a number of ways doing this - I am about to do this on my 330ci sport convertible..... As I want to keep its original features I am not replacing the head unit but running a cable through the back of the stereo!
    * if alloys ae marked, I would get them refurbished but if I was to replace I would buy BMW wheels as copies can be a lot heavier etc..
    * I wouldn't go for after market xenons as this can be costly - there are some good bulbs you can buy!!

    Just my opinion lol

Keep us updated and post some pics of how it looks now and later

    Vick

Thanks for the reply's. I will def get the Bulbs and not the full xenon kit.
Alloys I've decided to keep as they have grown on me.
iPod integration is still something I want to do but I will look mor into that as I'm not paying £2500

All in all I'm made up with the BM. German manufactures are the way forward.

    Thanks guys
    Andy

Hi, can someone post a link of bulbs, I want xenon or similar, a nice bright white bulb, dipped and full beam but don't know what to get, and also could do with a brighter reverse light as this is piss poor.

    Thanks guys

eBay or halfords as a reference then I can look them up

That sounds cheap, where are you getting that done, and is it the glove box one or the front cigarette lighter one?

I am using a VW specialist my brother uses for his Golf GTi Anniversary!!! I believe he will put a cable into the back of the head unit and I can have it wherever I want - it won't be the glovebox as I use 'maps' on my phone as a sat nav
